PRENATAL FLOW

The standard prenatal flow sheet looks exactly how it is supposed to look. Standard. This form works well by itself, or you can use it in conjunction with the Self-Care Prenatal Form. Where the self-care form builds autonomy, the flow sheet shines in seeing information all at once - a must in midwifery care.
What I love about this form is that it does not have teensy-weensy lines that are impossible to write in or read. You have plenty of space! The form also gives you the option of circling the type of visit: home, office, or virtual. Kinda need that these days.
When using the Prenatal Flow form in conjunction with the Self-Care form, this is how it works. Conduct a self-care prenatal visit, as usual. After the visit, transcribe the essential information in the flow sheet. It will take no longer than five minutes, which consequently provides you the time to review the chart. If you are using electronic charting, you can transcribe the information quickly. That is precisely how we did charting using the Birth Social model of prenatal group care.
